Boot Fitting Guide
Here are a few quick tips that will help you find boots that fit just right:
- If the boot fits properly, it should fit very tight over the instep — more so than a normal shoe. Additionally, your heel will slip forward into the boot until the boot is broken in. After you have worn your boots for awhile, they will conform to your feet and fit comfortably with no slippage.
- A general rule of thumb is that you will wear the same size boot as you do in your dress shoe, but a ½ size smaller than your tennis shoe size.
- One boot will fit a little more snug than the other. This is due to the fact that one foot is usually larger than the other. Most right-handed people will have a slightly larger right foot.
- Each boot brand fits a little differently, so your size may vary from brand to brand.
